Excitement as Sescoi eradicates the complexity associated with 5-axis programming
From its first showing at EuroMold in Frankfurt last December, Sescoi's new
WorkNC Auto 5 CAM software module, which automatically converts 3-axis WorkNC
toolpaths to 5-axis cutterpaths, has caused a stir within engineering circles
worldwide.
WorkNC Auto5 has been demonstrated across Europe, the Indian sub-continent and
Asia during exhibitions in France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, UK, Japan and
India. North and South America are soon to follow with IMTS in Chicago and
Mecanica 2004 in Sao Paulo.
The new software has already picked up awards: CAD/CAM magazine in Germany gave
the software its "Innovator of the Year" award, and Auto 5 also won a
nomination at the INDAO/Industrie show in France.
Sescoi's WorkNC customers have been quick to adopt the new software, with
unprecedented levels of enquiries, and although the worldwide launch programme
is only starting, Auto 5 has already been installed in over 60 companies.
The ease of use of Auto 5 has shown engineering companies that 5-axis machining
can be an every-day activity with WorkNC, cutting complex and deep parts
quickly and easily with shorter and more rigid cutters. These advances will
enable companies to make the best use of their investment in sophisticated
multi-axis machine tools.
